Khagrachhari: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar emphasized the necessity of collective efforts from all stakeholders to enhance the quality of primary education. He addressed this subject during a view exchange meeting titled ‘Role of Education-Related Stakeholders in Improving the Quality of Primary Education’ held at the local municipal town hall auditorium, where he served as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Bidhan described primary education as the foundation of nation-building, underscoring that its quality can only be assured through the combined initiatives of all education-related stakeholders. The meeting was presided over by Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md. Masud Rana.
During the event, Deputy Commissioner of Khagrachhari Md. Anwar Sadat delivered the welcome address. Special guests included Director General of the CPEIMH Taslima Akhter and Chairman of Khagrachhari Hill District Council Shefalika Tripura.
Prof Bidhan highlighted several key strategies to improve primary education, such as strengthening teacher training, enhancing school infrastructure, ensuring regular student attendance, and raising awareness among guardians.
The meeting gathered education officers, teachers, public representatives, and various education-related stakeholders who discussed challenges and necessary steps in primary education. Participants pledged to collaborate in their efforts to enhance educational quality.
