Dhaka: The price of all fuels has been increased by Taka one per liter, effective from today. The Energy and Mineral Resources Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources announced the decision yesterday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the energy division stated that the fuel price adjustment aligns with the fluctuations in global market prices and is part of an automatic monthly price fixing system under the established price fixing formula.

The new pricing structure sees the price of diesel and kerosene rise to Taka 105 from Taka 104. Similarly, the price of octane has been adjusted to Taka 126 from Taka 125, while the price of petrol has increased to Taka 122 from Taka 121.

The adjustment is intended to ensure a steady supply of fuel throughout February, as mentioned in the release.
