Dhaka:A delegation from the Dhaka Community Hospital Trust (DCH Trust) met with President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban, where the President commended the Trust for its significant contributions to the city's health sector.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, President Alamgir lauded the DCH Trust for its long-standing role in providing healthcare services to the poor and underprivileged. He encouraged the expansion of the Trust's activities to further benefit these communities.
Professor Dr. Mahmuder Rahman, the Trust's coordinator, led the delegation. The President expressed his gratitude to the Trust, noting that he had personally referred many financially disadvantaged patients to the hospital, where they received necessary medical assistance.
During the meeting, the delegation requested cooperation to enhance the hospital's healthcare services. In response, the President assured them of his support.
Additionally, the delegation invited President Alamgir to an international conference titled 'Disaster Preparedness and Resilient Bangladesh: Leading the Future', scheduled for November 30 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The President accepted the invitation to attend.
The delegation included Dhaka Community Hospital Trust Project and Research Director Md. Golam Mostafa, Director Professor Dr. Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, and Director of the Public Relations Department Waker Hossain Tapan. The President's Military Secretary and Secretary of the Public Division were also present during the meeting.
