President hosts Iftar for FFs, orphans, Bangabhaban officials

DHAKA, Jun 01, 2017 (BSS) - President M Abdul Hamid today hosted an Iftar party for the freedom fighters, family members of Birshresthas, orphans, religious scholars and Bangabhaban officials and employees.

Before the Iftar, the president went round different tables set for the guests, exchanged pleasantries with them and enquired about their well-being at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban.

Earlier, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jame Mosque Maulana M Saiful Kabir conducted the munajat.

Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, a good number of war-wounded freedom fighters, eminent Alem-ulemas, orphans from different child homes, and officials and employees of the Bangabhaban attended the Iftar party.

President's family members were also present on the occasion.
