Jhalakathi: A preparatory meeting to chalk out an elaborate programme in observance of Genocide Day and Independence Day was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner here this morning. Deputy Commissioner Ashrafur Rahman presided over the meeting.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, heads of departments from all government and private organisations in the district, representatives of law enforcement agencies, heads of educational institutions, and other concerned individuals attended the meeting. Civil Surgeon Dr. Humayun Kabir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Kawsar Hossain, and Press Club President Kazi Khalilur Rahman were also present.
