All preparations have been completed to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitar, the greatest religious festivity of the Muslims, in the district tomorrow with due religious solemnity.
According to Islamic Foundation sources, main Eid congregation will be held at Central Eidgah Field at 8:30 am. Mufti Abdullah will conduct the Eid congregation.
The second Eid congregation will be held at Jamalpur District Model Mosque in the town. Maulana Masud Hossain will conduct the prayer.
Besides, Eid congregation will be held in all Model Mosques in the district.
Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation, Md Abdur Razzak said all preparations have been completed to hold the Eid Jamaat in the Model Mosques.
District Administration distributed 3671400 kilogrammes of rice among 367140 poor families in the district to mark the Eid-ul-fitar through VGF cards.
Besides, 27726 families in eight municipalities also got the rice through VGF card.
Apart from this, District Awami League also disbursed Eid gifts on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina among the destitute families to mark the festival.
