Dhaka: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain today emphasized that practicing the Seerat of the Prophet (PBUH) is crucial for mankind given the current global circumstances. He highlighted that while advancements in science, technology, and globalization have simplified human life, issues like moral degradation, family crises, social inequality, terrorism, and religious conflicts have escalated.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Hossain made these remarks as the chief guest at the Seerat Olympiad-2025 award distribution ceremony organized by the Hasanah Foundation at the IDEB Auditorium in Kakrail. He noted that religious conflict is a significant global challenge, and the Prophet’s (PBUH) formulation of the Medina Charter, which ensures religious freedom for all, remains relevant today. Dr. Hossain underscored that the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings form the true basis for inter-religious coexistence and tolerance.

The event was presided over by Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari, Chairman of Hassanah Foundation, and featured speeches by several prominent figures, including Shaikh Mokhter Ahmad and Shaikh Rezaul Karim Abar. The Adviser later awarded prizes and cash to the Seerat Olympiad winners, where approximately 20,000 competitors participated. Winners were selected through a rigorous process involving selection rounds, semi-finals, and finals.

First-place winners received an Umrah package, while runners-up were awarded a laptop, a tab, and cash prizes ranging from Taka 20,000 to Taka 5,000 for other top participants. The Hassanah Foundation aims to build a society grounded in moral and ethical values through education, research, and skills development, promoting the ideals of the Prophet.
