Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has urged voters registered for the 13th general elections and referendum to contact its call centre to reset their passwords for the ‘Postal Vote BD’ app. This initiative aims to ensure seamless access and participation in the voting process via postal ballots.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 1,533,683 voters have opted to vote through postal ballots in the upcoming national elections and referendum. This includes 761,141 voters who have registered under the ‘in-country postal vote’ category within Bangladesh, while 772,542 expatriates have registered from various countries worldwide.
Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah shared with reporters that the Bangladesh Post Office has dispatched 767,084 ballots to Bangladeshi expatriates. Of these, 140,873 ballots have already been received by the expatriates, indicating active participation from the overseas voting community.
