Dhaka: The government has released a song focusing on the upcoming parliamentary elections and the referendum for the Sylhet division. This initiative is part of a broader campaign to engage the public in the electoral process and the referendum scheduled for February 12.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing announced the release of the song, highlighting that the Ministry of Cultural Affairs produced a total of eight thematic songs, one for each of the country’s eight divisions. The release of these songs is aimed at raising public awareness and encouraging participation in the forthcoming general elections.
In addition to the musical campaign, the government is distributing photo cards urging citizens to vote ‘Yes’ in the referendum. This effort is part of a vision to build a new Bangladesh as envisioned by the citizens themselves. The press wing also mentioned that eight different photo cards are planned for release between January 11 and 18, further intensifying the outreach efforts.
