Dhaka: Dhanmondi Police Station and Hazaribagh Police Station of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have successfully recovered and returned 106 lost, stolen, or snatched mobile phones to their rightful owners.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhanmondi Police Station returned 28 mobile phones, while Hazaribagh Police Station handed over 78 mobile devices to their owners, as stated in a DMP media release. The return of the phones took place on Wednesday in the presence of Dhanmondi Zone Assistant Police Commissioner Shah Mustafa Tariquzzaman.
Dhanmondi Police Station reported that, over the past month, they utilized information technology to recover 28 mobile phones. This initiative followed general diary (GD) entries and complaints filed by owners reporting their devices as lost, stolen, or snatched.
Similarly, Hazaribagh Police Station also used information technology to recover 78 mobile phones during the same period. These recoveries were initiated following GD entries and complaints from mobile phone owners regarding lost, stolen, or robbed devices.
The mobile phone owners expressed their gratitude to the police for the swift recovery and return of their devices.
