Dhaka:Three unarmed police inspectors of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred, with one appointed as the officer-in-charge of Cantonment Police Station.
According to United News of Bangladesh, an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed resulted in these transfers. Inspector Muhammad Gias Uddin, who was serving in the DMP's Operation division, has been appointed as the Cantonment OC.
Md Abdus Selim, another inspector from the same division, has been reassigned to Gulshan Police Station as inspector (Operations). Meanwhile, Md Mizanur Rahman, previously the inspector (Operations) at Gulshan Police Station, has been moved to the DMP's Counter Terrorism Investigation Division.
The order stated that these transfers and postings are in the public interest and will remain effective until further notice.
