Kotwali Thana
police arrested four alleged members of a dacoit’s gang in the
city’s Marinars road area last night.
The arrested are Md Sohel, 30, Belal Hossain, 37, Md Tushar,
19 and Md Rubel,22.
Mehidi Hasan, sub-inspector of Kotwali thana, said police
arrested the four alleged dacoits while they were preparing
for robbery adjacent to S Alam bus depo, targeting the
vehicles and pedestrians.
The gang usually roams around the city and district with
private cars to commit robberies, he added.
Later, a machete, knives, one stolen mobile phone and SIM
were recovered from their possession.
