PM Tarique Rahman to Inaugurate Development Projects in Jashore

Jashore: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Jashore tomorrow to inaugurate different development projects, lay the foundation stone of a medical college, and join a street rally. The premier will leave Dhaka for Jashore by air in the morning, stated the Prime Minister’s Press Wing today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, upon reaching Jashore, Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the Ulashi canal excavation project in Sharsha upazila and address a civic reception there. After returning to Jashore town, the Prime Minister, who is also the ruling BNP chairman, will take a short break at the Circuit House.



In the afternoon, he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Jashore Medical College Hospital and address a public rally at Jashore Central Eidgah ground. After completing the daylong activities, the Prime Minister is expected to return to Dhaka by air in the evening.



This marks his first visit to Jashore after assuming office as Prime Minister following a landslide victory in the February 12 general election. It is also his second visit to the district in the last three months. Previously, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman attended an election rally at Jashore Upashahar Degree College ground on February 2.
