Dhaka: The Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) observed International Women’s Day 2026 today with the theme ‘Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls’. To mark the occasion, a discussion meeting was held at PKSF Bhaban-1 in Agargaon, Dhaka, presided over by Zakir Ahmed Khan, chairman of PKSF. Md Fazlul Kader, managing director of PKSF, spoke at the event, while Md Mesbahur Rahman, the general manager, delivered the welcome remarks.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, PKSF’s Manager Mahmuda Morshed presented on rights and justice for women and girls. Jesmin Ara, another manager, gave a presentation on the work environment for women. Additionally, Anika Zaman Tasneem, deputy manager of PKSF, presented on the progress of underprivileged women and women entrepreneurs, as stated in a press release.
In his speech, Managing Director Md Fazlul Kader emphasized PKSF’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment and empowering women through its developmental initiatives. Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan concluded the session by reiterating the importance of collective action to ensure the protection of rights for every woman and girl.
