Pintu, Tuku Collect Nomination Forms in Tangail for 13th Jatiya Sangsad Elections

Tangail: BNP Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Pintu and party Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku today collected nomination forms for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections. They obtained the forms from the Tangail district election office, with assistance from Senior District Election Officer Mohammad Tajul Islam.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, former state minister Abdus Salam Pintu acquired the nomination form for the Tangail-2 constituency, which includes Bhuapur and Gopalpur. Meanwhile, Sultan Salahuddin Tuku collected the form for the Tangail-5 constituency, covering the Sadar area. Speaking to journalists, Tuku emphasized that the nomination forms were collected in full compliance with the election code of conduct. He also expressed his intention to work towards development in collaboration with the people if elected.



Senior District Election Officer Mohammad Tajul Islam stated that a total of 23 nomination forms have been distributed so far for the district’s eight constituencies. He noted that Tangail has a voter population of 3,334,325 and 1,063 polling centers, while preparations are actively underway to ensure a peaceful and festive election scheduled for February 12.
