People Must Remain Vigilant for a Credible Election: Manju

Khulna: BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-2 constituency and former city unit BNP president Nazrul Islam Manju has emphasized that only a free, fair, and acceptable election can transform the country into a democratic and livable state. He stressed the importance of public vigilance for a credible election process and urged those responsible for maintaining law and order, particularly at the leadership level, to act with heightened responsibility and vigilance.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manju was speaking as the chief guest at the annual reunion and discussion meeting of Dakbangla Hawkers' Union at the APC School ground on Thursday afternoon. In his address, he underlined the necessity for an election that reflects the true will of the people.

Later in the day, Manju attended a civic mourning meeting and Doa prayer seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia, organized by Ward No. 30 BNP and its associate bodies. During this event, he highlighted the unwavering commitment of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to safeguarding the country's independence and sovereignty.

Manju further noted that the 16-18 years of movement under Khaleda Zia's leadership were dedicated to ensuring a credible election, reinforcing the party's commitment to democratic principles and the importance of fair electoral processes.
