Partial Solar Eclipse on Sunday Not Visible from Bangladesh: ISPR

Dhaka: A partial solar eclipse is set to occur on Sunday, but it will not be visible from Bangladesh.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced in a press release on Thursday that the eclipse will begin at 11:29:48 pm Bangladesh Standard Time (BST) on September 21, reach its maximum phase at 1:41:54 am on September 22, and conclude at 3:53:36 am.

The ISPR detailed that the total duration of the eclipse will be approximately 4 hours and 24 minutes. The eclipse will be visible from regions including New Zealand, eastern Melanesia, southern Polynesia, and western Antarctica.

The central path of the eclipse is described to start at 5:53:17 am (local time) in the South Pacific Ocean, northeast of the Samoa Islands, United States. The maximum phase will be observable at 10:13:39 am southwest of the Dumont d’Urville Weather Station in Antarctica, while the eclipse will conclude at 5:48:38 pm northwest of Alexander Island in Antarctica.
