Parliamentary Committee Recommends Amendments to Two Key Bills

Dhaka: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has put forward recommendations for the Transfer of Property (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the National Human Rights Commission Bill, 2026 to be passed with amendments. This follows a comprehensive review and scrutiny of both bills.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the committee convened its third meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Muhammad Naushad Zamir presiding as chairman. The meeting was attended by several key members of the committee, including the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Md Asaduzzaman, along with Emran Ahmed Chowdhury, Sakila Farzana, Md Manzurul Islam, Mohammad Najibur Rahman, and Alfaruk Abdul Latif.

The committee's recommendations come as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that proposed legislation is thoroughly examined and refined before being presented for approval in Parliament. The suggested amendments are aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and implementation of the bills, reflecting the committee's commitment to legislative excellence.
