Over 850 Students Awarded KMRF Scholarships in Sirajganj

Sirajganj:A total of 852 meritorious students from Class IX and X, representing 153 educational institutions across all upazilas of the Sirajganj district, have been awarded scholarships and certificates by the Khwaja Mozammel Hoque (R:) Foundation (KMRF).

According to United News of Bangladesh, the scholarships and certificates were distributed by KMRF Chairman Khwaja Tipu Sultan during a function at Shohagpur Natun Para Alhaj Siddique High School in Belkuchi upazila. The event marked the 25th founding anniversary of the foundation.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ganapati Ray presided over the programme. Special guests included Belkuchi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Afrin Jahan, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Belkuchi Circle) Md Shohidul Hasan, District Education Officer Khandaker Md Abdullah Al Mamun, and Officer-in-Charge of Belkuchi Police Station Moktaruzzaman.

Since its founding in 2001, the KMRF has been actively running three major welfare initiatives: scholarships, free medical services, and Sadka-E-Zaria. The foundation offers medical treatment through its centres located in Shyamoli, Dhaka, and at the Zannatul Ferdaus Complex in Sreemangal of Moulvibazar. Additionally, it provides Sadka-E-Zaria, which is one-time capital support aimed at helping financially insolvent individuals achieve self-reliance.
