Dhaka:Cultural organisation Chhayanaut is set to host its annual Autumn programme in collaboration with St Joseph Higher Secondary School this Friday. The event will feature music, dance, and other cultural performances by students from various educational institutions.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the programme, titled 'Jog De Re Aj Saman Tane,' will commence at 7:30 am at the St Joseph Higher Secondary School premises. A second event, also under the same title, is scheduled for Saturday at St Gregory's High School and College, involving participation from St Gregory's, Nalanda High School, and Chhayanaut.

Participants from St Joseph Higher Secondary School, St Joseph International School, Excel Academy, Nalanda High School, and Chhayanaut will perform at the event, which is open to the public. Additionally, the program will be live-streamed on Chhayanaut's Facebook page and YouTube channel.

This initiative continues Chhayanaut's effort to extend its cultural celebrations beyond its premises, engaging young audiences through collaborations with educational institutions. Last year, Chhayanaut held a similar event with St Joseph Higher Secondary School, featuring performances by the school's Cultural Forum and Chhayanaut's rendition of Rabindranath Tagore's Sharodotsav.

Chhayanaut's General Secretary, Laisa Ahmed Lisa, expressed the organisation's intention to expand such programmes to more schools, colleges, and universities. Established in 1961, Chhayanaut aims to strengthen individuals through cultural engagement and promote humanism and universal humanity.
