Dhaka: Over 4,05,164 Bangladeshi expatriates have cast their votes through postal ballot as of 1:30 pm on Monday, as reported by the Election Commission.
According to United News of Bangladesh, out of the total expatriate voters who participated, 3,44,993 individuals submitted their ballots at post offices or designated ballot boxes in their respective countries. In addition, 19,388 ballots were cast within Bangladesh itself.
The Election Commission had initially dispatched ballots to 6,83,122 registered expatriate voters. By 1:30 pm on Monday, a total of 4,78,326 postal ballots had been received from abroad, indicating a significant participation rate among the Bangladeshi diaspora.
