Orphans to be employed for ensuring better future: Ashraf

State Minister for Social Welfare M Ashraf Ali Khan has said the orphan children will be provided employment to ensure their better life in future.

"The orphan children will be provided employment after a certain age as they can lead a good life in future", he said while distributing iftar and sewing machine among the orphans and distressed people in city's Rayer Bazar on Wednesday.

The state minister said Bangladesh could forward to prosperity through developing orphans and distressed children.

"It is a humanitarian programme to nurse the orphans and distressed people", he told the function organized by Mastul Foundation.

Calling the rich people to come forward for the welfare of the orphans, Ashraf Ali said all the religions including Islam gave importance to the welfare of the orphans.

"It is our responsibility to provide food, cloth, housing, education and health care to the orphans", he added.

Later, the state minister distributed sewing machines among the helpless families and gave a check of Taka 50,000 to a helpless disable person.

The function also was attended by noted social worker Kamrunnesa Ashraf, also wife of the state minister.
