Jatrabari: A man was killed after being hit by an “unidentified vehicle” on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at Jatrabari area early today, Jatrabari police said. Sub-Inspector of Jatrabari Police Station Mohammad Nazrul Islam stated that the accident occurred in front of a restaurant on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at about 3am today. The deceased was identified as Sadek Khan, aged 58.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, based on preliminary information, the victim succumbed to his injuries on the spot soon after the accident. Police rushed to the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The Sub-Inspector mentioned that Sadek Khan was the son of Rowshan Ali and hailed from Harirampur in the Manikganj district.
