Dhaka: A youth lost his life and five others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Debpur area of Sadar upazila. The tragic incident occurred today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased has been identified as Enam Hossain, 21, son of Khorshed Alam, who resided in Munshibari under Barukul union in Hajiganj upazila. The collision happened around 1 pm on the Chandpur-Cumilla highway when two CNG-run auto rickshaws collided head-on. The impact resulted in the instant death of Enam, who was a passenger in one of the rickshaws, and injuries to five other individuals.
The injured victims were promptly transported to Chandpur Government General Hospital for treatment. Among them, a child named Ayesha, who was seriously injured, received initial medical care before being transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
Hajiganj Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge, Mohammad Mohiuddin Faruk, confirmed the occurrence of the accident.
