Kishoreganj: A woman lost her life and her two children sustained injuries in a road accident in the Baily Bridge area on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab regional highway of Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased, identified as Joynab Begum, 30, was the wife of Mofazzal Hossain from Belati village of Sadar upazila in Netrokona. The tragic incident took place when the driver of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw lost control of the steering, causing the vehicle to fall into a roadside ditch. Joynab was killed instantly, and her two children were injured in the accident.
Local residents promptly rescued the injured children and transported them to Kishoreganj 250-bed Hospital for medical treatment. Abdullah Al Mamun, Officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Model Police Station, confirmed that Joynab’s body was kept at the hospital morgue for further procedures.
