Magura: A tragic road accident in the Alamkhali Ramnagar area of Sadar upazila resulted in the death of a man, while ten others sustained injuries following a head-on collision between a bus and a rickshaw van.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Sagar Mollah, a 25-year-old van driver from Gauricharanpur village in Sadar upazila. The collision occurred at approximately 11 am when a ‘Golden Line Paribahan’ bus collided with the rickshaw van. The force of the impact caused the bus to fall into a roadside ditch, leading to Sagar Mollah’s immediate death and injuring ten passengers on the bus.
Mahbubur Rahman, sub-inspector at Ramnagar Highway Police Station, confirmed the details of the incident. In response to the accident, locals acted swiftly to rescue the injured individuals, transporting them to nearby hospitals in Magura and Jhenaidah Sadar for treatment.
