Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested Mohammad Rubel from Pologround Railway Colony in the city’s Kotwali thana area and seized 744 cans of beer from his possession. Police arrested Rubel from the area in front of the Shaheed warehouse under the Dewanhat Bridge on Saturday night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Police Commissioner of Detective Branch (West) Mahbub Alam Khan stated that during the interrogation, Rubel confessed to purchasing the beer at a lower price in Chattogram and selling it at a higher price in Cox’s Bazar. A case has been filed against Rubel at the Kotwali police station in this connection.
