Khagrachari: After completing their basic training, the ‘Recruit Batch-2024’ of the Bangladesh Army participated in the ‘Army Chief Parade’ at the Formation Ad Hoc Recruit Training Center (FARTC) in Dighinala Cantonment, Khagrachari.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Major General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander Chittagong Area, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He also took the salute at the parade, as stated in an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release issued this evening.
During the oath-taking ceremony, a total of 758 recruits were formally inducted into the Infantry Regiment of the Bangladesh Army after completing their ‘Basic Training and Army Chief Parade.’ The ISPR release highlighted this significant milestone in the recruits’ careers.
The chief guest awarded mementos to six outstanding soldiers who demonstrated exceptional skills during their training. This recognition serves as an encouragement for
the young soldiers as they embark on their military careers.
The event was attended by senior military and civil officers from the Khagrachari area, along with Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), soldiers of other ranks, invited guests, and family members of the recruits, all of whom enjoyed the parade.
