Nurjahan Begum, wife of late Abul Hasnat, former president of Dhaka South city unit of Awami League (AL), passed away this morning.
She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at a city hospital at the age of 65.
She left behind her two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Nurjahan Begum.
In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
