NU Announces Scholarships for 800 Meritorious Students

Dhaka: SpaandanB, a welfare organisation for expatriate Bangladeshis, has revealed a scholarship opportunity for approximately 800 meritorious undergraduate students at institutions affiliated with the National University (NU). The initiative aims to support talented and financially disadvantaged students in their pursuit of higher education.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the scholarship programme is financed by the Imdad Sitara Jan Foundation. The announcement was made through a notice signed by Md. Shahab Uddin Ahammad, the acting director of the College Monitoring and Evaluation Office, and was published on Thursday. This opportunity is specifically targeted at those who have passed the HSC examination in 2024 and are currently enrolled in the first year of their degree programmes for the 2024-25 academic year.



The scholarship covers a diverse range of programmes, including BSc Honours, BSc Honours in all faculties of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, MBBS, BDS, BSc Textile Engineering, BSc Engineering, BA Honours, BSS Honours, and BBA. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications by December 7, either directly, via post, or by courier.



This initiative is expected to significantly aid students who demonstrate academic excellence but face financial challenges, thereby enhancing their educational opportunities and future prospects.
