Chalan beel: A traditional Nouka Baich boat race took place at Chalan Beel in Gurudaspur Upazila, focusing on the theme ‘Preventing river pollution: Let’s build a clean Bangladesh.’
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 12 teams competed in the Panshi boat race. New Ekota Express emerged victorious, earning a motorbike as the prize. Banglar Bagh, the first runner-up, received a refrigerator, while Al Madina, the second runner-up, was awarded an LED television.
Md. Saidur Rahman, Secretary of the Department of Health Services, distributed the prizes to the winners. The prize-giving ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Asma Shahin.
