Agriculture Minister and Awami League Presidium member Md Abdur Razzak today said there is no way to go beyond the constitution to hold the next Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election.
“The election will be conducted by the Election Commission as per the constitution and the government will provide all out cooperation to the commission”, Razzak told after laying the foundation stone of a new horticulture and tissue culture center at Char Fasson Upazila this afternoon today.
The minister said, “The future will be beautiful as the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to give the gift of a free and fair election to the countrymen”.
“Awami League never came to power through any unusual way rather the party came to power by the vote of people as the strength of Awami League is the people”, he said and expressed hope that the party will come to power wining the next election as well.
Abdur Razzak also said that BNP is trying to step down Awami League from power through agitation and struggle but AL’s roots are very deep. “There is no house, no village, no city anywhere of the country where Awami League activists are not working, he added.
Lawmaker Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Director of Agriculture Extension Department Tajul Islam Patwari, Bhola District Deputy Commissioner Arifuzzaman and Superintendent of Police Md. Mahiduzzaman were present on the occasion.
Chairman of Char Fasson Upazila Parishad Md. Zainal Abedin Arthon presided over the function.
