No public interest in BNP’s movement: Inu

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) president Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, today said there is no public interest in the movement of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

"Through its 10-point and 27-point, BNP wants to seize the state power by reemerging the pro-Pakistani forces in the name of the movement," he told a discussion at Colonel Taher Auditorium at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.

Inu said no matter how much BNP tries to halt the upcoming general elections through its movement, the polls will be held in time.

The BNP is now involved in a dangerous game of changing the country's Constitution aiming to oust the incumbent government through its movement, he said.

The Jasad president said the pro-Pakistani forces are continuing their war against Bangladesh and striking against the existence of the country.

With support from killers Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad, Ziaur Rahman and HM Ershad, the pro-Pakistani forces stained the soul of Bangladesh - Constitution - time and again, he said.

Jasad general secretary Shirin Akhter, MP, its vice-presidents Fazlur Rahman Babul and valiant freedom fighter Shafi Uddin Mollah, joint general secretaries Afzal Hossain Khan and Rokunnuzzaman Rokun, and Jatiya Sramik Jote-Bangladesh president Saifuzzaman Badsha, among others, spoke on the occasion.
