Cumilla:Superintendent of Police Md Anisuzzaman has stated that there is no pressure on police in the ongoing efforts against teen gangs in the district.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Anisuzzaman assured that no external pressure has been exerted on the police, and any attempt to influence the campaign would be made public. He mentioned this during the launch of the 'Amar Cumilla' app, which aims to simplify civic services and enhance accountability.

The Superintendent reassured that any harassment of teenagers or financial misconduct by police officers during the drive would result in immediate action, including suspension. He emphasized the strictness of the campaign against teen gangs and assured that those not involved in criminal activities are released to their guardians after verification.

Parents are being advised to ensure their children do not stay out late. Anisuzzaman confirmed that the campaign, which began after the Apratim murder case, involved preparing a detailed list of gang members and conducting operations across all 18 police stations in Cumilla. Over the past three days, 1,294 individuals, including gang leaders, have been detained during these operations.
