Dhaka: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today confirmed that no new COVID-19 infections were reported in the country over a 24-hour period from 8am Friday to 8am Saturday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 24 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of 0 percent, as stated by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
No fatalities due to COVID-19 were recorded during this period. The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 remains at 29,530.
The first case of Coronavirus in the country was detected on March 8, 2020. Subsequently, the first COVID-19-related death occurred on March 18 of the same year.
