No New COVID-19 Cases Reported in 24 Hours: Country Records Zero Positivity Rate

Dhaka: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today confirmed that no new COVID-19 infections were reported in the country over a 24-hour period from 8 am Thursday to 8 am Friday.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 13 samples were tested during this time, yielding a positivity rate of zero percent, as stated by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).



Additionally, there have been no reported deaths from COVID-19 during this period. The cumulative death toll since the pandemic began in 2020 remains at 29,531.



The first case of the coronavirus was detected in the country on March 8, 2020. Ten days later, on March 18 of the same year, the first person died from the virus in the country.
