Kathmandu: The government has urged one and all not to panic from the new variant of coronavirus seen in India.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of health and Population, Dr Prakash Budhathoki, said there was no need to panic from the new variant of coronavirus seen in Kerala state of neighbouring India. There is no situation to be worry as the infection seen in India is related to respiratory system.
“Problems related to respiratory system are now increasing in India and China. ICU, oxygen plants as well as other physical infrastructures constructed during COVID-19 pandemic can be used if needed”, he shared.
Budhathoki mentioned although new variant of coronavirus has been detected, there are no new symptoms in new variant of coronavirus, adding the symptom related to respiratory problems is seen is the new variant.
Health desks set up at check points and international airport have been kept in ready position and request has been made put patients with respiratory problems under special supervision, he added
.
The Spokesperson informed that patients suffering from respiratory problems since long have been recommended for gene sequencing.
The World Health Organisation has confirmed the new variant of COVID-19 in Kerala State of India.
