Naogaon:A newly developed road from the BGB Camp Bottoli area of Naogaon Municipality to Ikortara Bypass Bridge was opened to traffic today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md Zahidul Islam Dhalu, the lawmaker for the Naogaon-5 constituency, inaugurated the road during a function this afternoon. The road, which runs along the bank of the Chhoto Jamuna River, is approximately two kilometres long.
Naogaon Sadar Upazila Engineer Suman Mahmud presided over the ceremony. Several notable attendees included Sadar Upazila BNP General Secretary S M Al Kafi Tuhin, former municipal ward councillor Abul Kalam Azad, and former student leader Julhasur Rahman Apu.
Officials involved stated that the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) implemented the road development project at a cost of over 1.94 crore Taka.
