Dhaka: The newly appointed members of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) are set to take their oath on Sunday, March 2. Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed will oversee the ceremony at the Judges Lounge of the Supreme Court.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the preparations for the oath-taking ceremony are in place. Public Relation Officer of BPSC, SM Matiur Rahman, confirmed in a conversation with BSS that the appointed members will indeed be taking their oath on the scheduled date.
The new members include Professor Dr. Md Sharif Uddin from Dhaka University, Dr. Ferdous Arfina Osman, Professor Dr. Shahnaz Sarkar from Bangladesh Agriculture University, former Foreign Cadre Officer Sabbir Ahmed Chowdhury, former Health Cadre Officer ATM Farhad Uddin, Brigadier General (retd) Anwarul Islam, and former Additional Inspector General of Police Md Munir Hossain.
The appointments were officially announced by the interim government through seven separate gazette notifications issued on February 18.
