Eight Martyrs’ Families Receive Tk 16 Lakh in Dinajpur

Dinajpur: The local administration has extended financial support of Taka two lakh each to eight families of martyrs who lost their lives during the student-led mass uprising. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Rafiqul Islam presented the cheques to the family members in a function at the Hallroom of the DC office, serving as the chief guest.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the beneficiaries of this financial assistance include the families of Rabiul Islam alias Rahul from Bidursai village in Dinajpur Sadar upazila, Rudra Sen from Paharpur in Dinajpur town, Al-Amin Islam from Dabra village under Birganj Upazila, Ashiqur Rahman from Norhoripur village under Nawabganj Upazila, Suman Patwari from Luxmipur village under Chirirbandar Upazila, Asadul Haque Babu from Pukuria village under Biral Upazila, Ziaur Rahman from Nagorbari village under Birol upazila, and Md Masum Reza Antor from Korola village under Biral upazila of the district.



Omar Farooq, the father of martyred Suman Patwari, expressed gratitude for the government’s support during a conversation with BSS. He acknowledged the delay but appreciated the assistance, urging everyone to remember and pray for their martyred sons.



The ceremony was also attended by prominent figures such as Civil Surgeon of Dinajpur Dr. Asif Ferdous, Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Noor Alam, and Additional Superintendent of Police Jinnatul Al Mamun.
