Nepal wins final match against West Indies ‘A’ in T20 Series

Kathmandu: Nepal has defeated West Indies 'A' by six wickets in the final match of T20- Series held on Saturday. Earlier, West Indies 'A' had defeated Nepal in three consecutive matches in the series. Nepal had won the first match against West Indies 'A' by four wickets. Nepal was defeated by 10 runs, 76 runs and 28 runs in the second, third and fourth match respectively. Put to bat first after winning the toss in Kirtipur-based TU Cricket Ground today, West Indies made 172 runs in 20 overs losing seven wickets. Alick Athanaze scored the highest 42 runs for West Indies 'A', while Roston Chase 33 runs, Johnson Charles 24 runs, Matthew Forde 23 runs, Kadeem Alleyne 11 runs and Mark Deyal 11 runs. Towards bowling, Nepal's Sompal Kami and Sagar Dhakal took three wickets each while Abinash Bohara took one wicket. Chasing the target of 173 posted by West Indies 'A', Nepal met the target in 18.5 overs at the loss of four wickets. It became easier for Nepal to win the match after Kushal Malla scored 37 runs (no t out) off 18 balls. Similarly, Asif Sheikh contributed 51 runs while Anil Shah stroke 58 runs, Kushal Bhurtel 13 and Dipendra Singh Airee five runs. Likewise, Obed McCoy took three wickets and Matthew Forde one wicket.
