Dhaka: National Democratic Party (NDP) today organised a doa mahfil and Quran Khwani after Asr prayers seeking early recovery and good health of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The event took place at the NDP central office, with leaders and activists, including party Chairman Khandakar Golam Murtaja and Secretary General Md Manjur Hossain Isha, in attendance.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, NDP Presidium Member Advocate Farid Uddin, Vice Chairmen Ashrafuzzaman, Golam Mostafa Raju, Mahamudul Hasan Moin, Motaleb Hossain, and Md Asmat Ali, along with other leaders of the party's central committee, were present at the event. Special prayers were offered for the good health, longevity, and speedy recovery of the national leader.
Speakers at the mahfil described BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia as a symbol of democracy, human rights, and the hopes and aspirations of the country's people. They emphasized the importance of her health for the democratic progress of the nation and called upon the countrymen to pray for her speedy recovery.
