Dhaka: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has been facilitating taxpayers to submit their VAT returns online to streamline the process and minimize potential issues.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the NBR stated in a press release that online submission of VAT returns is straightforward and can prevent complications that might arise from paper submissions, which could be lost or misplaced. The NBR is advising VAT payers to utilize the online system for submitting their returns to avoid such issues.
The press release also highlighted that VAT payers are receiving necessary assistance at all VAT Commissionerates, divisional offices, and circle offices during the submission process. The NBR expressed hope that by submitting VAT returns online, taxpayers would support the government’s initiative to establish a modern and automated VAT system.
