National University Undergraduate Admission Test Concludes Successfully

Dhaka: The admission test for the first-year undergraduate (Honours) programmes under National University for the 2025-2026 academic session was held today, a press release said. The examination commenced at 11:00 am and concluded at 12:00 noon, taking place at 138 centres across the country.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the one-hour examination was conducted in an MCQ format. National University Vice-Chancellor Prof. A S M Amanullah visited the Tongi Government College centre in Gazipur to inspect the examination process. He expressed satisfaction with the overall environment and assured journalists that the results would be published shortly.



The Vice-Chancellor later monitored the examination activities nationwide from the control room set up at the university’s ICT building. This year, a total of 453,148 candidates participated in the admission test, aiming for enrolment in 880 colleges, including 375 government and 505 private colleges.



Of the 138 centres, 18 were located in the Dhaka metropolitan area, with the remainder spread across other divisions: 27 in Dhaka division, 13 in Barishal division, 23 in Chattogram division, 18 in Khulna division, 17 in Rajshahi division, 13 in Rangpur division, and 9 in Sylhet division.
