National Nutrition Week Culminates with Enthusiastic Ceremony in Sadullapur

Sadullapur: A week-long national nutrition week-2026 ended in Sadullapur upazila in the district on Wednesday amid much enthusiasm among the concerned. The theme of the week was “End Discrimination, Build up Self-Dependent Bangladesh”.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the nutrition week was arranged by the public health nutrition institute under the ministry of health and family welfare, while the week was implemented by the upazila health and family planning office. In this regard, a concluding ceremony was also held at the conference room of the upazila health complex with upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Md. Shahinul Islam in the chair.

UNO Mahmudul Hasan attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest. The function was also addressed by upazila veterinary officer Dr. Sirajul Islam, resident medical officer of upazila health complex Dr. Dwipannita Das Tushi, upazila education officer Sambhacharan Das, and chairman of Bongram union parishad Fazlul Qaiyum Huda, while sanitary inspector Golam Rabbani moderated the event.

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) in his speech emphasized the need for conducting awareness activities about nutrition among the masses and encouraging them to consume nutritious foods, which are available in society, to address malnutrition problems and build a healthy nation in the days to come. Prizes were then distributed to the winners who participated in different competitions held on the occasion of the national nutrition week.

A good number of people, upazila level officials, health staff, NGO activists, invited persons, and journalists attended the function.
