DHAKA, May 24, 2017 (BSS) - State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has stressed on the need for special emphasis on research works at universities, so the beginners in any profession can make the best use of their brain.
"It is possible to see rapid improvement through self-indulgence and for this, regular study along with thorough research on respective subjects is necessary", he said.
The State Minister made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at the Alumni night of the North South University (NSU) here yesterday, marking its 25th founding anniversary.
NSU Vice-chancellor Professor Atiqul Islam and chairman of NSU Trustee Board Azimuddin Ahmed also spoke.
He said the alumni members of the NSU can play a significant role in
creating connectivity among themselves and such a move would greatly help them improve their career and also speed up the country's development process.
Referring to the sincere interest of the Non-resident Bangladeshis to work for the country, Nasrul said they must be held on regular communication for any noble purpose that would surely benefit the country and its people.
"Today's youths can get benefit by utilizing the demographic dividend with coordination of seniors at home and abroad to build the country on a solid footing," he said.
