Dhaka: The government has appointed Nasimul Gani as the new Cabinet Secretary. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Monday regarding this appointment.
According to United News of Bangladesh, prior to his appointment as the Cabinet Secretary, Nasimul Gani was serving as the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. This change in leadership comes shortly after the government cancelled the remaining tenure of the contractual appointment of former Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid.
Officials have indicated that the cancellation of Sheikh Abdur Rashid’s appointment was made following an application he submitted. This decision was finalized on Saturday, February 14, paving the way for Nasimul Gani’s new role in the government.
