Health Minister Muhammad Nasim, MP, has urged President-elect Donald Trump of United States of America to send back the fugitive killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He said: "Through the journalist, I want to say, Mr. Trump, you will send back the Bangabandhu's killers, otherwise, humanity will be destroyed. When you will send them back to Bangladesh, respect of its people to you will enhance more."
The minister was addressing the 36th national convention of Sandhani hosted by its central committee at Rajshahi Medical College Auditorium here today as chief guest with Sandhani President Zaharul Hossain Khan in the chair.
The Health Minister said the country is now going ahead led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. So, a deep-rooted conspiracy is going on to obstruct the development through spreading militancy in the name of Islam in the country. The war criminals are being tried. Verdict against five Bangabandhu's killers has been executed and others will be executed after bringing them back.
Minister Nasim told the meeting that the Awami League government has set an unprecedented stance through appointing 6,000 doctors at a time in the country. Recently, 10,000 nurses were also given appointment. He said construction work of Medical University in Rajshahi will begin soon.
Former Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Prof Dr Habibe Millat, MP, Sandhani Eye-donation Committee President Dr AKM Saleque and its Secretary General Joynal Abedeen also spoke.
