Names of Two Police Stations Changed in Tangail and Sirajganj

Dhaka: The government has officially changed the names of two police stations located in the Tangail and Sirajganj districts. This announcement was made through a notification issued by the Home Ministry’s Police-2 wing, which is set to take effect immediately.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the police stations previously known as Bangabandhu Setu Purba Thana in Tangail and Bangabandhu Setu Pashchim Thana in Sirajganj district have been renamed. The new names for these stations are Jamuna Setu Purba Thana and Jamuna Setu Pashchim Thana, respectively.



This change marks a significant update in the official records and is expected to be reflected in all administrative and operational references concerning these police stations. The government’s decision to rename these stations reflects an effort to ensure proper identification and alignment with regional landmarks.
