Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a person, who has been sentenced to life-term imprisonment for murder, from the city's Hatirjheel area in the early hours of today.
The arrestee was identified as Milon Sikder, 38, son of the late Abdul Mannan Sikder, an inhabitant of Chowddo Buria village in Nalchity upazila of Jhalokati district.
Acting on a tip-off, members of the elite force arrested Milon Sikder from the Hatirjheel area at around 2:30am.
On August 1, 2019, a Dhaka court sentenced Milon to life-term imprisonment for killing Rajab Ali, a resident of Nawabpur, on July 24, 2011.
